Day 1 as a Blogger

Welcome to Charlottista!  This is my maiden voyage as a blogger and very excited about this new adventure!  My purpose is to add intelligence and substance to the growing arts community in Charlotte, NC.  Lofty goal I know, but I believe it's worth a shot.  I plan to update with new postings as often as possible and the content will be everything from reviews of exhibitions here in Charlotte, to photos, to random thoughts that need sharing.  Expect anything and everything art and culture-related to be found here.

Also, take a look at the Charlotte Viewpoint links located on the right side of the page.  Charlotte Viewpoint is an amazing wesbite dedicated to the promotion and exchange of ideas about arts, culture, civic engagement, and metropolitan living.  They feature some of the foremost thought-leaders in the city and publish articles by truly intelligent writers.  I encourage you to take a look at some of the articles on the site and subscribe to the monthly magazine.  Also, you can follow them on Facebook and Twitter to receive Photos of the Day as well as updates when there is something new to be known about art and culture in Charlotte.
